Jason Stone: A Lifetime in Event Planning
From Culinary Beginnings to Event Planning Excellence
Introduction
Allow me to introduce myself as the Director of Eventure by Design; my name is Jason Stone. With over 30 years of experience in the event planning industry, I have built a career rooted in dedication, creativity, and an unwavering passion for creating memorable experiences. My professional journey began in Cleveland, Ohio, and has taken me through every facet of the hospitality industry, from the kitchen to the front lines of event coordination.
My first steps into the world of hospitality were at a local catering company in Cleveland. Starting in the utilities department, I quickly learned the importance of teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail. My commitment and enthusiasm for the industry propelled me forward, first to the position of Maître D and then to Sous Chef. With each new role, my understanding of service and culinary arts deepened, fueling my desire to grow professionally.
Eventually, I was honored to become the Executive Chef for the Cleveland Browns, where I had the unique opportunity to help design the kitchens for the new Cleveland Browns Stadium in 1999. While working for the Browns, I also took on the challenge of designing and executing a wide variety of corporate and social events, further expanding my expertise and connections within the industry. These experiences inspired me to take the next step and launch my own company.
To broaden my horizons, I relocated my business to Denver, then expanded into other markets, including Chicago. Upon moving the business to Chicago, I began receiving widespread recognition and respect, and my reputation as an authority in hospitality grew steadily. This recognition enabled me to organize events across the country, establishing my standing in the industry. Recently, I decided to return to the Cleveland area to be closer to my family and continue offering unrivaled event planning services in my home community.
Driven by ambition, I launched a small catering service to support myself through Culinary School. Managing my own business while pursuing a degree was challenging, but it gave me invaluable insight into the intricacies of planning, logistics, and client relations. I graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts, with a special emphasis on Hotel, Restaurant, and Culinary Arts, equipping me with a well-rounded expertise in the field.
Upon completing my education, I achieved certification as an Executive Chef. This accomplishment marked a pivotal point in my career, allowing me to combine culinary mastery with leadership and management skills. I thrived in roles where I could work directly with clients, tailoring events to their unique visions and ensuring that every detail exceeded expectations.
My love for working with clients and orchestrating seamless events naturally led me to transition into event planning. Over the years, I have had the privilege of designing and managing events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to corporate events and fund-raisers to grand celebrations. My background in culinary arts and hospitality has been instrumental in my ability to anticipate client needs, solve problems creatively, and deliver exceptional results.
Reflecting on my career, I am proud of the journey that began in the kitchens of Cleveland and evolved into a lifelong commitment to event planning. Every event is an opportunity to create something extraordinary, and I remain passionate about bringing my clients’ visions to life with expertise, care, and personal attention.
